Passports & Visas

All visitors entering the Kingdom of Bahrain need to obtain a visa, except for citizens of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. If you are a national of any other country, you should check www.evisa.gov.bh to ensure that you can obtain a visa on arrival or apply for an electronic visa. Passports must be valid for the duration of your stay in the Kingdom of Bahrain. For more information, please call +973 17139292.

E-Gates

Bahrain International Airport includes a total of 12 E-Gates at the Departures level and 8 E-Gates at the Arrivals level. The E-Gates' cutting edge technology at BIA are designed to revolutionize your travel experience as they offer a swift and hassle-free process for eligible users, ensuring seamless entry and exit through immigration and passport control.

The E-Gates are available for the following eligible users:

Citizens Bahraini citizens and residents can take advantage of the E-Gates by using their ID or passport.
Residents Residents in Bahrain can utilize the E-Gates using their ID or passports.
Visitors Visitors in Barain with multiple entry visas, after a successful first arrival through a counter, can use their E-Passport on the E-Gates.
GCC Nationals GCC Nationals holding E-Passports are eligible to use the E-Gates
Verification Methods Facial and/or fingerprint identification, based on the displayed instructions on screen.

 

LMRA Counters

If you are starting a new job in Bahrain, proceed to the Labor Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) counters at Bahrain International Airport to where you will undergo the fingerprinting process and be issued your entry permit. The LMRA Counters are located on arrivals level near the Immigration counters and are numbered from 1 to 6, East to West.
