Bahrain Airport Company Successfully Conducts Fire Emergency Evacuation Exercise

Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), the operator and managing body of Bahrain International Airport (BIA), successfully conducted a fire emergency evacuation exercise at the Central Utility Complex (CUC) at BIA. The exercise was designed to test the effectiveness of the fire emergency evacuation plan and ensure the readiness of all emergency responders.

The drill involved personnel from BAC and Gulf Air Group, working in cooperation with Operations Directorate of the Public Security Presidency, Airport Police, Civil Defense, Customs, the National Committee for Disaster Management, and other government entities. Participants followed established emergency protocols and procedures.

The exercise tested several key elements, including the readiness of the Emergency Coordination Center (ECC) and fire watchers, the response of Fire Wardens within the CUC building, and the emergency notification system of Airport Rescue and Firefighting Services (ARFFS). It also provided an opportunity to identify areas for improvement in emergency response procedures and monitor the functionality of the fire alarm and communication systems.

BAC's successful completion of this exercise highlights its commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all passengers and staff at BIA. BAC remains committed to the highest standards of emergency preparedness and response, continually evaluating, and enhancing its procedures to ensure the most effective response to any potential emergency.
