Bahrain Airport Company Team Wins Regional Recognition for Operational Excellence

Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) has proudly won the “Operational Innovation of the Year in the field of Transportation” award at the Asian Innovation Excellence Awards 2025, held in Singapore.

Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) has proudly won the “Operational Innovation of the Year in the field of Transportation” award at the Asian Innovation Excellence Awards 2025, held in Singapore. The event honored leading innovators across Asia who are shaping for a smarter and more sustainable future for the region. 

This prestigious recognition celebrates BAC’s innovative baggage trolley replenishment system, a simple yet powerful idea that tackled the challenge of maintaining trolley availability during peak and off-peak passenger flows.  

By introducing a low-cost, color-coded floor-sticker system, the BAC team increased operational efficiency by around 30% while achieving cost savings of up to 30%. 

The system ensures trolleys are replenished quickly and efficiently without the need for complex technology, enhancing both staff productivity and the passenger experience at Bahrain International Airport. 

This achievement highlights BAC’s commitment to practical innovation and continuous improvement, proving that smart, inclusive solutions can deliver a real impact on service quality and resource management.
