Bahrain International Airport Recognized as the First in the Middle East to receive Airport Council International (ACI) Level 5 Accreditation

Bahrain Airport Company is pleased to announce that Bahrain International Airport (BIA) has been accredited with Level 5 of the Airports Council International (ACI) Airport Customer Experience Accreditation—the highest level of recognition under this globally respected program.

This milestone positions BIA as the first airport in the Middle East to receive this top-tier accreditation, reflecting the airport’s ongoing commitment to service excellence and customer satisfaction. 

This recognition would not have been possible without the collective contributions of the entire airport community, including—but not limited to—the Nationality, Passports & Residence Affairs (NPRA), Airport Police, Bahrain Airport Services (BAS), Customs Affairs, Gulf Air, airlines, Bahrain Duty Free Company, SSP Bahrain, and other key stakeholders who play an integral role in delivering high-quality passenger experiences across every touchpoint. 

Level 5 accreditation signifies excellence in customer experience management and is awarded to airports that demonstrate leadership in service delivery, and passenger satisfaction. It validates the company’s commitment to placing the needs of passengers at the center of its operations and reinforces BIA’s position as a leader in the aviation industry.
