Minister of Transportation and Bahrain Airport Company honored at Aviation Business Awards 2022
His Excellency the Minister of Transportation & Telecommunications and Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) Chairman, Eng. Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed was recognized for his contributions to the aviation sector with a Lifetime Achievement Award at Aviation Business Awards 2022 in Dubai. BAC also won Airport Operator of the Year for the innovative services and exceptionally high standards offered at Bahrain International Airport (BIA). In attendance were representatives from the Ministry of Transportation & Telecommunications, BAC, government officials, and aviation industry leaders.
The Lifetime Achievement Award reflects HE the Minister’s concerted efforts since assuming leadership of the Ministry and his direct supervision of several major development programs and projects, including the transfer of operations to BIA’s new passenger terminal. The project was completed in record time, making it the fastest constructed airport in the region.
HE the Minister expressed his gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for his patronage and continuous support of the aviation sector, which contribute significantly to its development and the attainment of its objectives. He also praised the support of the government, headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for its efforts to bolster the achievements of the sector, which is a key pillar of economic growth and development in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
