Departure Process

Getting here.
  • If you have rented a car from the providers at the airport during your visit, you can return the keys to your rental company’s counter. Depending on the length of your trip, contact the car provider agency to open the gate for you to park at east carpark near gate 1.
  • If you are arriving by private transport, taxi, hotel shuttle, or limousine, you can get dropped off at the Departures Area entrance.
  • Public buses will drop you off at the Bus Station in the Arrivals Area. Please proceed to the Departures Area on Level 2 once you enter the terminal.
  • If you need a wheelchair or a special service, please contact our Special Services Allocator. you can find the number added on the signage near the dedicated parking and they will happily assist you. Allocated parking is available at the inner curb near the entrance for your convenience.

Check-in.
  • There are cafés, restaurants, and shops in the Departures Area offering quick snacks and hot/cold beverages.
  • If you need a wheelchair but did not book one in advance, please ask a check-in agent to assist you.
  • If your baggage exceeds the weight allowance mentioned on your ticket, you may need to pay excess baggage fees. Visit one of our baggage offices, located near check-in island B.
  • If you are checking-in oversized baggage, you will be directed to special check-in counters B01 or E19.
  • If you are travelling with animals, please reconfirm your details with your airline before arriving at the airport.
  • If you have already checked-in online, please go to the Baggage Drop-off counter for your flight.

Pass smoothly through passports & security.
  • You will be asked to remove your belt, shoes, and possibly your jacket, before going through security. To save time, wear shoes that are easily removed.
  • Pushchairs and walking aids will be X-ray screened.
  • Wheelchairs will be thoroughly searched.
  • If you are taking prescription medications or syringes with you, each item should be in its original container and you should carry the prescriptions with you.

  • Once you’ve checked in and passed through security and immigration, how you spend the time before your flight is up to you.
  • Take advantage of special offers and deals at the Duty-Free Area or visit the express stores near the gates if you’re in a hurry.
  • Explore a wide variety of global cuisines at our many restaurants and cafés.
  • Smoking rooms and prayer rooms are located opposite gates 14 and 19.
  • The Entertainment Zone features interactive toys, gaming consoles, climbing domes, and comfortable seating arrangements. It is free to access and suitable for toddlers, teens, and parents as well! The facility is located in the Departure’s Area near the Air Traffic Control Tower.

Tips.
  • Boarding gates close 20 minutes before your flight’s departure.
  • Remember to check the flight information screens regularly and leave yourself plenty of time to get to your gate.
