Glass Art

Renowned British glass artist Andrew Moor was commissioned to create the installations, which measure 125 sqm each and incorporate the work of celebrated Bahraini artists Shaikh Rashid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and Hussain Al Sunni.

The artwork is displayed on the ‘Office Block’ walls overlooking the main security area, the central hub of the terminal through which all departing passengers must pass. To create the installation, photographs of sections from the original paintings were printed onto transparent film and laminated between layers of glass, resulting in large-scale reproductions.

Mr. Moor has been a central figure in the architectural glass world for over 30 years and has worked with well-known international artists and architects.
