Effective 13th July 2021, Bahrain's Civil Aviation Affairs (CAA), in coordination with the National Taskforce for Combatting the Coronavirus, have updated travel regulations by adding 16 newly red-listed countries. The newly banned locations are: Dominican Republic, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Malaysia, Mexico, Mongolia, Mozambique, Myanmar, Namibia, Panama, Philippines, South Africa, Tunisia, Uganda, and Zimbabwe. Countries that were already on Bahrain's red list include Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam. Passengers arriving from Red List countries, including passengers who have transited through any of those countries at any point in the preceding 14 days, are prohibited from entry unless they are citizens or residents of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Bahrain Airport Hotel

The Bahrain Airport Hotel offers transit passengers a variety of accommodation types where they can relax and refresh while waiting for their flights.

The hotel features 17 compact rooms, 24 standard rooms, 17 family rooms and 1 room equipped with facilities for Passengers with Reduced Mobility, all of which include a bed, an LED TV with satellite channels, a shower, and coffee/tea making facilities. It also offers 24 state-of-the-art sleeping pods equipped with a built-in TV and radio, headsets, a safe, and digital locking. Guests using the pods will also have access to lockers and a centrally located toilets/showers area.

The entrance to the hotel, located off the main concourse at Departure Gate 15, features a comfortable lounge and separate spas for men and women, offering a variety of massage services, treatments, and shower facilities. Hotel guests can also take advantage of a wake-up service, free Wi-Fi, and round the clock assistance and information services. Rooms and pods will be available for stays of 2 hours and upwards.
